“Free the Human, and He Will Begin to Create” (A. de Saint-Exupéry)
This was a two-year project involving children with special needs.
The project’s objectives were to develop the creative abilities of children with special needs, reduce social exclusion, engage the community, and foster tolerance and understanding that all children are creative.
In 2016, the project focused on dance and movement therapy, which, as a form of psychotherapy, helped participants understand the unity of their body, mind, and soul, express feelings, and release suppressed emotions.
In 2017, the project shifted to the perception of three-dimensional objects and the exploration of architectural heritage. Children “constructed” chosen architectural structures and shared their experiences about their creative activities with all project participants.
Like the previous one, the project aimed at freeing children’s creative abilities and promoting cultural awareness.
