The International M. K. Čiurlionis Music Festival invites you to a charming evening of vocal music featuring the most beautiful arias, duets, and songs from operas and operettas.
Performers include one of Lithuania’s most renowned baritones, Mindaugas Rojus, a nominee for the “Golden Cross” award, known for his unique vocal timbre and artistry that has earned him great affection from audiences. He will be joined by soprano Vilija Kuprevičienė, who has captivated audiences in Germany with her unique voice; critics were left enchanted after her performance at the famous Leipzig Gewandhaus and praised her highly. The soloists will be accompanied by pianist Inga Vyšniauskaitė.
MINDAUGAS ROJUS is a soloist at the Klaipėda State Musical Theatre, having created dozens of roles in various genres, including the role of Figaro in G. Rossini’s opera “The Barber of Seville,” Germont in G. Verdi’s opera “La Traviata,” Eugene Onegin in P. Tchaikovsky’s opera “Eugene Onegin,” Gabriel Eisenstein in J. Strauss’s operetta “Die Fledermaus,” Marcello in G. Puccini’s opera “La Bohème,” and Don Giovanni in W. A. Mozart’s opera “Don Giovanni,” among others. He regularly performs in Poland, Latvia, Italy, and Germany. M. Rojus has been nominated twice for the “Golden Stage Cross” and the “Thank You Mask.”
VILIJA KUPREVIČIENĖ is a winner of the Grand Prix at three international competitions and has created numerous solo parts on the stage of the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre. She frequently performs in Lithuania and abroad – in Israel, Macao, Germany, China, Kazakhstan, the USA, and Poland. The soloist also appears in the programs of prestigious festivals. Additionally, she is a soloist in the National Philharmonic’s chamber music ensemble “Musica Humana” and has released three CDs: “A Breath of Love” with LMTA professor Aleksandra Žvirblytė, “New Hope” with the Bulgarian orchestra conducted by Ch. Christov, and “Eternal Love” with the Budapest Symphony Orchestra conducted by Adi Bar.
INGA VYŠNIAUSKAITĖ is a pianist and laureate of national and international competitions, having received the highest awards in Lithuania, Denmark, Germany, Ukraine, France, and Italy. She is the chairperson of the piano methodological group for grades 1-5 at the National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Arts and a piano teacher at the Vilnius New Town Music School. Her students are laureates and diploma holders of national and international competitions and actively participate in Lithuania’s concert life. Since 2023, she has been the vice president of the Lithuanian EPTA. Inga Vyšniauskaitė has received letters of thanks from the Presidents of the Republic of Lithuania, Valdas Adamkus and Dalia Grybauskaitė.
