Virginijus Kinčinaitis’s mobile photography exhibition „Gilūs paviršiai“ (Deep Surfaces) reveals the artist’s profound desire to explore the realms of photography and visual culture. His works embody an aesthetic that encompasses visual culture studies and the iconography of art history. By employing counterpoint, Kinčinaitis creatively revitalizes the complexities of contemporary society, harmoniously blending tragicomic elements with the elegance of classical forms.
This artistic vision has been developed through various thematic exhibitions, such as “Sublime,” “Misere,” and “Limited Visibility.” Kinčinaitis masterfully combines mobile photography with traditional printing, creating new meanings and giving digital images a physical form that allows viewers to engage with the essence and significance of “streaming” images in a fresh way.
