On 4 November at 6:00 PM, we invite you to Antanas Jasenka’s interdisciplinary painting and music project, where image and sound come together in a shared narrative exploring transformation, identity, and the images constructed by society.
The exhibition will be open until 30 November.
About the exhibition “Judas Was a Bad Woman”
Here, Judas is approached not as a specific historical or religious figure, but as a cultural archetype and a structure of projection. The woman becomes a surface onto which society projects its assumptions and expectations. In this context, the “bad woman” is not a moral judgement, but a concept of social projection — a constructed figure.
In the exhibition, Judas becomes not only a symbol of betrayal, but also a means of questioning how cultural myths are created and transmitted, how their meanings change over time, and what happens when familiar roles are reversed.
The exhibition will be presented by Assoc. Prof. Dr Dalia Karatajienė.
