Juozas Gaižauskas’ new book, Kobros lopšinė, is a story about the unbreakable human spirit, pain, love, loss, and hope. It is about a journey that begins in the mountains, when a pilgrim, having lost the strength to take even a single step, nevertheless refuses to stop. About a promise made at the moment of death. About a journey into jungles teeming with blood-sucking creatures, where death is merely a detail and a million broken laws are simply part of the plan.
This is an evening about ordinary yet truly extraordinary people who become giants on their journey. Although their pain is immense, try to imagine how great their love can be.
Kobros lopšinė is like a deadly blow and a kiss at the same time. Not everyone is destined to hear it. And once you have, you will have to choose: break the promise made at the moment of death, or sign it in blood once again?
