One of the most anticipated evenings of the festival invites audiences to immerse themselves in the musical universe of Franz Schubert. The programme will reveal the many facets of the composer’s artistry – from the intimate beauty and lyrical tenderness of chamber music to moments of dramatic emotional intensity.

The stage will bring together two exceptional artists – internationally acclaimed violinist Boris Brovtsyn and one of Lithuania’s most distinguished pianists, Petras Geniušas. Their musical dialogue promises to reveal the depth and beauty of Schubert’s works, offering listeners an unforgettable chamber music experience.


Boris Brovtsyn – Biography

Boris Brovtsyn is one of the most distinguished violinists of his generation, performing on prestigious stages around the world. Born in Moscow, he began his musical studies at an early age and later continued his education at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.

His career is characterised by a wide-ranging concert repertoire and a strong commitment to chamber music. Boris has performed with renowned orchestras in Europe and around the world, including the London Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Philharmonic, and other leading ensembles. He is regularly invited to international festivals and collaborates with some of the world’s most celebrated chamber musicians.

Brovtsyn’s interpretations are praised for their emotional depth, musical maturity, and exceptional beauty of tone. Alongside his active performing career, he regularly gives masterclasses in various countries and contributes to the development of the next generation of musicians.


Petras Geniušas – Biography

Petras Geniušas is one of Lithuania’s most renowned pianists, celebrated for his creativity, improvisational freedom, and exceptionally broad repertoire.

A graduate of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, he gained international recognition early in his career by becoming a laureate of several prestigious piano competitions.

Throughout his career, he has performed across Europe, Asia, and America, appearing with leading symphony orchestras and chamber ensembles. The pianist’s artistic interests extend beyond classical music, encompassing jazz, contemporary forms of improvisation, and interdisciplinary artistic projects.

Audiences and critics value his ability to transform every composition into a living narrative, enriched by unexpected and imaginative interpretative choices. Petras Geniušas is also actively involved in educational work and the mentoring of young musicians.
