The XVI International Children’s and Youth Folklore Assembly, dedicated to the Year of the National Communities, is beginning in Vilnius. This multicultural event will bring together young folklore enthusiasts from Lithuania and abroad, showcase vibrant forms of traditional culture, and invite participants to inspiring encounters with professional ethnocultural specialists.
We invite:
Children’s and youth folklore groups, soloists, family ensembles, young performers, and everyone who feels a connection to folk art.
The Assembly programme includes performances by Lithuanian and international groups selected through a competition, creative workshops, educational activities, and meetings with researchers and performers of traditional culture.
The Assembly is a celebration for the whole family, opening the door to the world of folklore and offering an opportunity to experience, learn and discover something new over the course of several days.
