The profound spirit of Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis touches everyone — both those who perform and those who listen. It is no coincidence that the name of this illustrious Lithuanian composer and visionary artist resonates across the world. This year, the 13th Vivace Vilnius International Summer Music Festival pays homage to his enduring genius by dedicating its grand opening concert to mark the 150th anniversary of his birth. Join us on August 3 at the historic Vilnius Town Hall for an unforgettable celebration.

This extraordinary jubilee program brings together a stellar ensemble of artists: Simonas Miknius (piano), Pijus Česaitis (violin), Elžbieta Liepa Dvarionaitė (piano), Saulė Buikaitė (violin), Jurgis Juozapaitis (viola), Rugilė Juknevičiūtė (cello), Simonas Poška (piano), and Inga Vyšniauskaitė (piano). Each performer is a distinguished laureate of international competitions, proudly carrying Lithuania’s artistic legacy onto the global stage.

The program unfolds a rich tapestry of music, featuring masterpieces by Čiurlionis himself alongside works by Osvaldas Balakauskas, Robert Schumann, George Gershwin, Maurice Ravel, and Fritz Kreisler — the latter two sharing the remarkable milestone of their 150th birth anniversaries this year.

We invite you to surrender to the sublime currents of this musical voyage — a journey through time, emotion, and artistic brilliance.
