The summer festival Vilniaus rotušės kolonada 2025 welcomes the vibrant string ensemble VOŁOSI — a unique group whose performance promises to be a standout moment in the heart of the city. Prepare for a journey through stirring melodies, bold improvisations, and the unmistakable spirit of Carpathian folklore.
VOŁOSI is an innovative Polish string group deeply rooted in the musical traditions of the Silesian Beskids. Their energetic and emotionally charged performances skillfully blend Carpathian folk roots with elements of jazz, rock, and world music, creating a sound that is both authentic and refined. Since their debut in 2010, VOŁOSI has captivated audiences and critics alike — winning all major awards at the Nowa Tradycja festival and being named Best World Music Act by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) in 2011. That same year, they secured a place in the World Music Charts Europe Top 20.
Expect four string instruments, virtuosic playing, and a concert experience that will resonate long after the final note.
